CAR ALARM CAM - THE ULTIMATE SURVEILLANCE DEVICE

Warning

In some states of Australia and other countries legislation may exist that restricts the recording of video footage and sound. We recommend that before using this device you check all local legislation to avoid committing an offence.

Having used and tested dozens of photographic devices over 40 years, this device is certainly the best made and most reliable and effective hidden video camera I have ever used. The camera is placed into an every-day device, a device that everyone carries on them and a device that no one would ever suspect is a video/sound recording device. The indicator lights are cleverly secreted to avert detection yet allow the user to see that the camera is operating.

The construction of this device is well thought through, robust and best of all produces high resolution video footage and allows for the most discreet surveillance. The camera is designed to take photos/video when the camera is laid flat on its back and thus you are able to leave the camera on a table etc whilst it records.

The camera comes with software, connecting cables, charger and easy to read English instructions. This is a very easy camera to become familiar with. It does not come with a flash card as this is really optional regarding the capacity required. It takes a standard Micro SD card which are easily obtained and inexpensive.

INSTRUCTIONS

Some simple steps to help use the camera.

When you look at the Key Ring Cam there are 3 indented buttons. One top left, one top right and one round one below in the centre. The round one is for still photos only.

When you firmly press the left top button two things happen. A blue light turns on at the back where the key is situated. Then shortly after the key ring vibrates. This lets you know it’s ready for action. (On standby mode) You can then take film by pressing the top left button again. The blue light will turn red and the camera will vibrate again. This lets you know you are taking video. If you press the left top button once more it will return to the standby mode and the red light will go off leaving the blue light on.

When you press the top left button and the blue light is on (Standby Mode) and you want to take a still photo, you press the middle bottom round button. You cannot take photos while you are in video mode. You can take at least a thousand high resolution photos. After taking a photo if you press the top left button again it will vibrate and resume filming with the red light on again.

If you press the left side button again the recording stops and the blue light remains illuminated. (Back to standby). The camera doesn’t vibrate when changed from recording mode to standby mode. If you press the right side button while the blue light is on it will turn the camera off. The camera will not turn off while it is recording mode. You have to turn the camera to standby mode with the blue light on and then you can turn it off.

Every time you press the left side button while the blue light is on, it will resume recording and the red light comes on again. It always vibrates to let you know.

When the camera is turned on and the blue light is shining you can also press the middle button and it will take 1280 resolution photos. You cannot take still photos while it is video mode.

The camera has a wide angle lens (Cemos Brand) so if you point the key ring in the general direction of someone from 3 metres or more you will get their ID in the photo or good coverage while filming. It doesn’t have a steady shot but if you hold it fairly still while walking behind someone the film is quite steady.

Save files onto a hard drive and play them from that. The camera is very small so playing from the key ring its self creates delays while playing.

The key ring can take up to an 8gig mini SD card. The manufacturer reckons you can get almost 4 hours film on the 8 gig SD Card

There is a 12 month warranty on anything technical. They can take up to an 8 gig mini SD and fully charged should give 4 hours recording. Currently the 2 gig SD card records for about 1 hour.
