Testimonials in letters of recommendation/commendation from various clients. The following letters, e-mails and Awards are all genuine. We retain the original documents at our offices. Because our clients wish to protect their privacy, these testimonials are very hard won and seldom forthcoming because of the very nature of our business and the fact that many clients don't wish their most personal matters to become public. The very fact that we have so many is testimony alone to our success and reputation.
There are many hundreds of satisfied clients that were not prepared to provide testimonials for privacy reasons. Many investigation companies have fabricated text without any genuine identification so be careful not to accept pretenders. In 30 years Lyonswood has not had a successful claim made against it for incompetence, breach of confidentiality or negligence and we aim to keep things this way.

Hello Chris,
I've discussed your case in broad terms with my close friend and confidante
Warren Mallard and he pointed out the very obvious - that I am not only retired,
but I am no longer duly licensed to conduct investigation work.
I think I've stuck my head out a little too far here. What if Warren
(http://www.investigators.net.au/) handled your case instead of me? I trust
Warren completely and you can trust him too.
He has skills and experience that's second to none in Australia. Plus he has the
sensitivity that's going to be needed here. I am sure you can appreciate that
some investigators might see you as an opportunity to make a lot of money by
unethical means. Please beware that many private investigators are entirely
dishonest.
Frankly I cannot suggest anyone other than Warren for this kind of very
challenging case. Warren has a high public profile and is often in the media, so
his conduct is beyond reproach.
If you approve, I will pass on your details and outline of your case to Warren.
If you don't, then I will understand.
cheers

Dear Warren,
Thank you for the delightful chat we had on Monday 15th November regarding my concerns of fraud and deception from my ex-husband (second one!). I dearly appreciated the spontaneous interview you gave me with your empathy and advice.
Your referral to Barry Frakes, an eminent legal practitioner, was most thoughtful of you and your printing of the email to him was fortuitous as I accidentally gave you an incorrect address for my email - I inadvertently added 'au' to the end when it was not required!
My own email system has been down at home for the last couple of weeks, so I have visited the local library to follow-through on your kind invitation to meet with Barry.
I am sorry to trouble you yet I wish to explore whether anything can be done to find any justice from a position of strength, not as a victim.
I enjoyed our frank and honest chat and will keep you posted on how things transpired. If I don't hear from you before Xmas, have a great holiday and God bless you and your family.

Warren,
I am writing to thank you for the way in which you sympathetically and methodically planned and handled my matter recently.
Although otherinvestigators I had spoken to said they could assist me I was never reassured by their apparent inexperience and concentration on how much money I had to pay. Their rates were cheaper than yours but I kept being drawn back to your professionalism. My gut feeling about you was right. I guess you get what you pay for.
One of the investigators wanted a large sum of cash up front and wouldn’t accept credit cards and wanted me to take the money to his centre of Sydney offices. Fortunately I checked his company out and Fair Trading warned me about him and advised me that he takes money and rarely provides the service even though I am advised by you he still has a license to operate. How can people like this man still trade.
I suspect your police background is what gives you that edge. I guess I will never know how you did the investigation but I am glad I chose your company.
I just want to say that I will recommend you should I hear of others in trouble.Let’s hope it’s never again me.
I have provided the evidence to my lawyers and they too were impressed with your reporting and lawfully obtained evidence. They and I still can’t work out how you obtained the details of that bank but it was pivotal in my case. He had our life’s saving stashed in that safety deposit box.
I may be needing some further work but much will depend upon the outcome of the preliminary hearing. I will stay in touch.

Warren,
Thank you very much for your report. Please consider this matter closed- I do not wish to conduct any further investigations. The emotional tie I had with this man was cut on the day of my initial call to you, so this report serves as final confirmation. I never have to think about this sick individual again. I acted stupidly and recklessly, although I am not stupid or a reckless woman, and although I had suspicions I did not follow through. As you say, I do wish I had made that call to you sooner and saved myself a lot of unnecessary heartache.
This man preyed on me at a time when I was going through a very traumatic time in my life- I had a 9 year old nephew diagnosed with leukaemia and my elderly father suffered a heart attack soon after- this man kept me in trauma mode for most of last year. Despite this I managed to be there for my family and to maintain a High Distinction average at Uni for my Masters degree. My father and nephew are well and healthy now. These are the things that matter.
The fact that this man is not real, or the money that I lost are secondary issues. I choose not to see this outcome as devastating. If he was real, I would be saddled with a deluded romantic fool with no life-coping skills. That would be devastating. I am relieved this is not the case. I have learnt a very valuable lesson.
Thanks for your professionalism and support. Your final invoice has been paid. All the best.

Yours comes up quite often, but I don't always tell you.
I suppose you have also worked out that a few of the phone inquiries you

Dear Warren,
I am writing this letter to convey my appreciation for the excellent effort in tracking the person who knocked my car. This person had an address in his licence and the car registration, one which then forwarded to another address. The address he gave me did not exist when I tried to visit. I am surprised that he was able to get away from the relevant authorities with this behaviour. It meant that one cannot trace him for any legal action which had to b delivered to him personally without going through unnecessary time to obtain substituted service. Also it may not be possible to obtain any funds from him even if a judgement in my favour was made. It was therefore imperative that I get the residential address. As he wrote the name in a piece of paper with a blunt pencil, I could not provide the correct name to you and this made more difficult. Further his name was not in the phone book and following later events I could not have obtained his address from the electoral register. Of course I could obtain an order form the court to order the police or postal authorities to release the information not generally obtained under the Privacy Act this would delay the claim process even more.
With such scanty information you were able to trace the person’s address as well as his mobile telephone number (which under normal circumstances and to layman are not available). It is obvious you have very good resources available to trace the person so quickly.
The claim is being heard in the Magistrate Court tomorrow and the man said he was attending the court. Your quick response saved me time and good money as the damages were in excess of $3,000.
Thank you for the good effort and keep it going.

Dear Sir,
We refer to our recent telephone conversation and wish to record our thanks for the excellent job done by your team in this claim.
The matter was listed for hearing in the Compensation Court. Your investigator was very obliging in showing the video on a number of occasions, to our counsel and expert witnesses. This was beneficial, as our experts were able to give us some useful tips on inconsistent activities depicted of the worker. Your investigator was also very patient and waited at the court until the matter settled at lunchtime.
The video was also a critical part of the case. The worker was seen on the film leaning into the engine compartment of a motor vehicle and moving in an easy and comfortable manner, and it was apparent that he was capable of doing work to a greater extent than what he wanted the Judge to believe. The Judge was clearly interested in the video and the legal representatives acting for the plaintiff recognised that there may well be a live credit issue in the case. This enabled us to resolve the claim for a very modest figure.
In our formal letter of advice to the G.I.O Australia, reporting on the hearing, we specifically mentioned the good video obtained by your company, the helpful assistance by your investigator and the fact that we had telephoned you to convey our thanks.
We congratulate you on a job well done and have no doubt that you will be instructed by our mutually esteemed client in the future.
Yours Faithfully

Dear Sir,
The Plaintiff was awarded $1000.00 general damages, $438.00 interest and no out of pocket expenses.
He was ordered to pay his own costs incurred in running his case. These would amount to at least $7,000.00. In finding the plaintiff's evidence was unacceptable and to a large extent fabricated, his honour Judge Gee referred repeatedly to the film which you had taken of the plaintiff.
Thank you again for your assistance.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am a former Legal Services Manager at GIO Australia, responsible for the management of the defence of up to 60,000 motor vehicle personal injury claims. Since 1995 I have been in private practice specialising in personal injury claims and acting for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Particularly, while in my former position at GIO Australia, close attention was paid to conducting appropriate and often exhaustive investigations into various aspects of each claim. As the monopoly insurer in its field, GIO Australia maintained a very large panel of investigation firms. In my position I not only supervised the reports on individual files I also participated in the selection and supervision of those firms included on the GIO investigators panel. This provided the opportunity, not given to many individuals in this industry, to compare the work of many different firms including their initiative, attention to detail, success and general business efficiency.
As a result of that experience I have come to know the work of Lyonswood Investigations and Forensic Group and its principal, Mr Warren Mallard, very well. Flowing from that extensive personal experience, I know that Mr Mallard and his colleagues provide a very high level of service for all types of investigations, including appropriate discretion and an ability to think laterally when required.
In addition, I have always found Mr Mallard to be ready to discuss tactics and techniques on a theoretical basis and his suggestions have often paid off with the obtaining of useful information. Mr Mallard and Lyonswood have also often provided technical assistance such as making equipment available, re-recording from one medium to another and suggesting useful avenues in the search for relevant information.
I should also mention that Mr Mallard shows an admirable patience and restraint in the face of my sometimes urgent demands for action or attendance.
My professional relationship with Lyonswood Investigations and Forensic Group continues to the present and I have never known that firm to display less than complete professional competence and integrity. As a final point, Mr Mallard's position of prominence in his industry and its professional associations, has more than once appeared to give him and his firm an advantage in their breadth and depth of knowledge in relation to the provision of investigative reports for use in litigation.

Dear Warren,
I don't normally write to business acquaintances after paying for services rendered, however, I was very impressed with your professionalism earlier this year.
One of my clients has been losing considerable amounts of stock over a long period of time. After an interview at your office, I heeded your advice and measures were implemented. Within five hours of intelligence and surveillance an arrest was made and a person charged.
The problem has been solved due to your expertise. I thank you very much and certainly will recommend your services to any person I know requiring the same.
Yours Sincerely,
