Law Enforcement and the Private Investigation Industry

Posted 04/Apr/2008, 213 words

Over the years our managing director Warren Mallard has been working closely with the private investigation industry regulators and more recently with Superintendent John Kerlatec of the Regulated Industries Squad who take care of the  regulation of the Security and Private Investigation Industries. One of the many problems faced by private investigators in the conduct of investigations is the lack of understanding that the police had about the very industry they are charged with regulating. To bring about a better understanding and flow of information to assist in the detection and prevention of crime,  at Warren Mallards instigation, a Liaison Group was formed with the police and headed up by Warren Mallard representing the investigation industry and Superintendent John Kerlatec for the Police. This consultative group has been successful in bringing about the publication of 'Police Weekly'. The publication spells out the worth of private investigation and urges police to become more cooperative in terms of their dealings with private investigators whilst undertaking investigations.

At Lyonswood Investigations and Forensic Group we know the benefits to be gained from corroboration and cooperation and it is this close liaison that Lyonswood has with the police that assists Lyonswood to bring about better investigative outcomes for its valued clients.
